1. ABOUT COOKIES
Cookies and other similar technologies can be used on your computer or mobile device when visiting websites and applications to store or access certain information. You can find more information about the different types of cookies below. For a complete list of the cookies used on this website, see List of cookies used on the website. For a complete list of the cookies used on the application, see List of cookies used on the application.
Cookies can serve different purposes:
-
Essential cookies are cookies that are necessary for the correct functioning of the website and application (e.g., to avoid overload on the website and application, keeping it functional and accessible). These cookies can be used without your consent.
-
Functional cookies are cookies that are necessary to improve your browsing experience or to provide a functionality explicitly requested by you (e.g. remembering your settings). These cookies can also be used without your consent.
-
Analytical cookies are cookies that collect information about how you use the website and application to improve search engine hits and the functioning of the website and application (e.g. see how users move around the website and application when they are using it to ensure that users find what they are looking for easily). These cookies are only used if you have given your consent.
Cookies may be placed by the website or application operator itself or by a third party:
-
First party cookies are cookies that are placed directly by the website or application operator and can only be read by the website and the application.
-
Third party cookies are cookies that are placed on the website or application by third parties and/or used to send certain information about your visit to a third party. This happens, for example, because the website or application contains elements from other sites, such as images, social media plug-ins or advertisements. When the browser or other software retrieves these elements from other sites, the cookies used by those other sites are considered third party cookies.
Cookies have an expiry date:
-
Temporary cookies (session cookies) are cookies that are stored temporarily on your computer or mobile device during the browsing session and are deleted when you close your browser or application.
-
Persistent cookies remain on your computer or mobile device after you close your browser or application and will recognise you when you revisit the website or application. These cookies are removed after a certain expiry date.
